What Is Inbound Marketing?
Inbound marketing has been gaining favor among marketers in recent years, but you may not know how the approach differs from traditional marketing.
Inbound marketing is an approach to attract the right customers through methods that provide content valuable to them and that addresses challenges they actually face. The methodology is a response to outbound marketing tactics that long dominated marketing and advertising and that didn’t take interests, needs, or opting in into account.
Examples of inbound marketing include blogging and content marketing, where the customer finds you while looking for information. Examples of outbound marketing include direct mail and TV commercials, which includes interrupting someone who may or may not be a potential customer.
