How to Enable SSL with HubSpot
Make sure the content on your Hubspot landing pages, website pages, and blog are SSL enabled to provide secure https for your site visitors.
When you enable your site's protocol to be https instead of http, you are informing your site visitors that you take their private data seriously by encrypting their data. What is SSL? Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is defined as the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and browsers. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browser remain private.
It is important to update to https for the following reasons:
- Google will hold back visitors to your site
- Browsers such as Chrome and Firefox will show visitors a danger warning sign that if they proceed their data is not secured.
You can update this setting within HubSpot in five easy steps:
- Log into your HubSpot account and click on the settings icon (looks like a cog) in the main navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, select Domains & URLS.
- Click Edit to the right of your newly connected domain.
- In the dropdown menu, select the Require HTTPS checkbox.
- Click Save.
